Hello, all! My name is Ghaida Mohamed Edreis (She/her/hers). I was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and spent the majority of my life in Tripoli, Libya. I moved to the United States when I was 14 years old and am now a first-generation student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am currently a junior majoring in legal studies with certificates in Middle Eastern Studies and Criminal Justice, with aspirations to attend law school in the future. Since moving to the United States, I’ve met and known several Muslims/Arabs who are DACA recipients or undocumented immigrants, and I’ve always wanted to assist them and provide services. As an intern at the Center of Dreamers, I’m looking forward to bringing the greatest sources and information from the community to the public.
